UIU Research Grant
United International University (UIU) has taken a pioneering initiative to provide Research Fund for its faculty members to conduct quality research activities and set examples for other institutions. An initial annual budget of Tk. 10,000,000 (1 Crore) has been allocated for this purpose.
Research proposals will be invited twice a year to award funds in January and July every year (Tk. 5,000,000 for each call). The maximum allocated fund for a particular project will not exceed Tk. 1,200,000 for a 2-year project. Smaller projects with duration between 1 to 2 years or less than 1 year will be allocated a budget proportionate to their time duration.
A Selection Committee has been formed comprising of the Vice Chancellor as its Chairman and Pro-Vice Chancellor and Deans of two Schools as its member to evaluate the Project Proposals as well as to select the research projects for awarding the grant.
